You will need cotton nr10 black and yellow and hook 2mm.
Start with black yarn:
Row 1: Ch8 make ring.
Dc 20 in ring.
Row 2: *Dc, ch* in each loop around.
Row 3: Dc in each loop around.
Row 4: *2Dc in each loop ,2ch* around
Row 5: *2dc,2ch,2dc* in each arc
Row 6: **2dc,2ch, 2dc* in each arc, 2ch* repeat around.
Row 7: **2dc,2ch,2dc* in each arc, 3ch* repeat around.
Row 8: **2dc,2ch,2dc* in each arc, 4ch* repeat around.
Row 9: **2dc,2ch,2dc* in each arc, 5ch* repeat around.
Row 10 : **2dc,2ch,2dc* in each arc, 6ch* repeat around.
Use yellow yarn.
Row 11: *9tr in 2ch arc,5ch,<2dc ch.2dc="">in next 2ch arc* repeat around
Row 12: *tr.ch- in each tr last row, 4ch, 2dc,2ch,2dc-in 2ch arc last row.
Row 13:* sc in first tr, 5ch,sc in next tr-repeat 8 times, 4ch, 2dc,2ch,2dc, 4ch* repeat around.
Row 14:* sl st in first arc, 5 ch, sl st in next arc- repeat 7 times, 4ch, 2dc,2ch,2dc, 4ch* repeat around.
Row 15: * sl st in first arc, 5 ch, sl st in next arc- repeat 6 times, 4ch, 2dc,2ch,2dc, 4ch* repeat around.
Row 16: * sl st in first arc, 5 ch, sl st in next arc- repeat 5 times, 4ch, 2dc,2ch,2dc,2ch,2dc, 4ch* repeat around.
Row 17: *<2dc ch="" dc=""> 4ch, sl st in first arc, 5 ch, sl st in next arc- repeat 4times, 4ch,< 2dc,2ch,2dc>repeat around. make seperate each petals.
Row 18: 2dc,2ch,2dc,4ch,sl.st,5ch,sl.st,5ch,sl.st,4ch,2dc,2ch,2dc.
Row 19: 2dc,2ch,2dc,4ch,sl.st, 5ch,sl.st,5ch,sl.st,4ch,2dc,2ch,2dc.
Row20: 2dc,2ch,2dc,4ch,sl.st, 5ch,sl.st,4ch,2dc,2ch,2dc.
Row 21: 2dc,2ch,2dc,sl.st,2dc,2ch,2dc.
Fasten off.

DeleteI think i may rewrite the pattern. I can see h how it would be confusing especially in the beginning. But look at her pictures. You can kind of deduce was going on in the pattern stop n read carefully

ReplyDeleteRow 16: follow as written, end with second 2dc.
From now on, the work is done back and forth across each individual petal.
Row 17: TURN. Sl st in 2dc, sl st in ch2 sp.
Ch3, dc, ch2, 2dc in ch2 sp.
Ch4, sc in ch3 sp, *ch3 sc* in each ch3 sp across.
Ch4, 2dc, ch2, 2dc in ch2 sp.
Repeat Row 17 to top of pineapple.
Last row: Sl st to ch2 sp. Ch 3, dc, ch2, 2dc. Sc in sc. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in ch2 sp.
I am still very unclear about row 17. is there a video?

ReplyDeleteDo I cut the thread after each petal DND then reattach to next petal?
I made this and it came out great! After step 16 I fastened off. I then started more yarn in the ch2 space between the 2dc and I did 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch4, slst in the 5ch arc from the previous row, 5ch, sl unit I got to the end of ch5 arcs, then I ch4 , 2dc, ch2 , 2dc, TURN, and the repeated for 4 rows. I then fastened off and repeated this for each petal. It was a lot of ends to weave in but definitely worth it in my opinion. I hope this helps someone:)
