Pattern Overview & Construction

The coaster is worked in flat, seamless continuous/joined rounds starting from the center with a magic ring and expanding outward through a series of increases:

1. Center Ring: Magic ring starting base.

2. Round 1 (DC Ring): Work double crochet stitches directly into the magic ring to form a flat, solid center.

3. Round 2 (Spaced Shells / V-shape): Alternating double crochets and chain spaces to set up the circular expansion.

4. Outer Rounds (SC & DC Patterns): Progressive expansion using single crochet, double crochet, and chain spaces to maintain a flat disc shape.

5. Edging: Final decorative round consisting of single crochet stitches to stabilize and frame the coaster edge.
